How You Can Access Canadian Internet Sites From Anywhere in the World
When you consider it it's fairly incredible. I am able to sit here in a township called Stanstead on the USA/Canadian border and watch Canadian TV online without a trouble. If I wander down the street and cross the border line with my notebook computer and connect from a Starbucks down the route and I'm blocked.
The reason is simple, by walking a few hundred yards and connecting from the US side of the border I 've also changed my digital address. In the North I use a Canadian ISP and so have a Canadian IP address, in the South my digital nationality turns me into an American.
The difference might appear insignificant but it really makes a massive difference to what I will do online. Your location will be looked up by most major sites as you connect and control what you see on their website. It might be incovenient for me as I now can't see the local report on CTV but there are a tons of advantages too.
Although it functions easily enough there is a simpler method to switch your addresses without moving place. You can use a Canadian proxy to hide your real location and regain control!
