When you think of it it's quite incredible. I will sit here in a town called Stanstead on the America/Canadian border and see Canadian TV online without a problem. If I cross the border line with my laptop and wander down the street and link from a Starbucks down the road and I am blocked. This is because straightforward, by connecting from the US side of the border and walking a few hundred yards I have also altered my electronic address. The difference might appear insignificant but it really makes a massive difference to what I could do online. Most major sites control what you see on their website and will look up your place as you join. As an example when in canada, I get blocked striving to see anything on Hulu or Pandora, these work perfectly with an US IP address. There is a less strenuous method to change your addresses without moving place although it works readily enough. It's possible for you to use a Canadian proxy to hide your real location and regain control!
