When you travel abroad it is nice to maintain that link to home. If you decide to live or work there it can be even more significant. For me when I lived and worked in Turkey for 6 months there was really little I missed aprt from my favorite TV stations. I did not realise how much I'd miss the news, Newsnight, Match of the Day and merely the general documentaries and amusement on the principal TV channels.It's frequently said that British TV is some of the best in the world, but you know it really is accurate. Sure there's some excellent shows and comedies on US TV but the price you pay is normally incessant advertising breaks ever few minutes. Needless to say here is the exact age of the net and all the TV stations in Britain spread most of their content online. ITV player and bBC iPlayer work exceptionally well and are very easy to use.Stations 4 and 5 have something similar and if you have a SKY subscription - Sky Go is really notable. At first it appears so simple, simply fire up your notebook (or connect it to the TV) afterward you see the BBC news everynight. However there is a grab, it does not work outside the UK, at did not until I found this video about watching UK TV abroad
