When you travel abroad it's pleasant to maintain that link to home. It can be even more important if you choose to reside or work there. For me when I resided and worked in Turkey for 6 months there was very little I missed aprt from my favourite TV stations. It's often said that British TV is some of the best in the world, but you understand it really is accurate. Sure there's some great shows and comedies on US TV but the cost you pay is generally incessant promotion breaks ever few minutes. Needless to say this is the age of cyberspace and most of the TV stations in Britain spread the majority of their content online. ITV player and bBC iPlayer function incredibly well and are really simple to use. At first glance it looks so simple, just fire up your laptop (or connect it to the TV) then you watch the BBC news everynight. However there's a grab, it doesn't work outside the UK, at least it didn't until I video about watching UK TV abroad
