What Causes PS3 Yellow Light of Death and How to Fix it?

Many PS3 owners have experienced the yellow light of death or that feared indicator in PS3s. A few also termed this as the red light of death or the so-called blinking red light, in the sense that whenever turning on the PS3, the green light will change into yellow, and then end up as a blinking red light. If something like this occurs, it could be that the console has some major technical problem. This has been brought on by two main things which were outlined by people who have been professionals with using the console. Broken Hardware Components So as to attach the GPU and other parts to the motherboard, they should be soldered. It has a tendency to overheat once the PS3 has been functioning for a long time. This actually harms the console just like overheating will happen usually, the solders will melt and only solidify after turning off the PS3. This melting and re-solidification of the solders causes the hardware to break off from the motherboard. This is deemed as the most common reason for yellow light of death.
