What Causes PS3 YLOD and How to Fix it?

Countless PS3 owners have experienced the yellow light of death or that feared indicator in PS3s. Another name that pertains to this light are the "red light of death” and also the "blinking red light”. This light actually becomes red and continue on blinking as soon as the green and yellow lights appear. If something like this happens, it could be that the console is having some major technical trouble. This has been due to two primary aspects which were outlined by people who have been experts with using the console. Hardware Damage Within the Console Using the solders, the GPU or chipsets were attached to the motherboard. It tends to overheat once the PS3 has been functioning for a long time. Because of the heat, it's likely for the solders to liquefy. They will only go back to their solid state once the PS3 is shut off. The liquefaction and subsequent re-solidification of the solder causes the key platform and internal components to lose their connection. This is the probably cause of PS3 yellow light of death.
